Durban City FC have announced a new partnership with local spice retailer Gorima's, naming them the club's official culinary partner. The deal aims to enhance the matchday experience for supporters by connecting football with quality food.

Club chairman Farook Kadodia said the collaboration brings together two brands that understand the importance of community and the experiences created for the people they serve. He added that football is about bringing people together and that food is a key part of that shared experience.

The partnership with the KwaZulu-Natal based business is part of Durban City's broader strategy to grow its brand and build lasting commercial relationships. It follows existing deals with Umbro and Jonsson Workwear, underlining a commitment to working with local partners that resonate with supporters.

For fans, the alliance promises to create new touchpoints with the club both inside and outside the stadium, adding another dimension to matchdays. The announcement comes as Durban City prepare to host AmaZulu FC on 16 October. AmaZulu currently sit third in the Premier Soccer League with 16 points from seven games, making this a key fixture in the early season.

The hosts, in 10th place, will be looking to improve their position when they welcome an AmaZulu side on a three-game winning streak. Durban City have conceded 12 goals in their last five matches, a defensive record they will be desperate to tighten. Their recent form has been inconsistent, with just one win in their last five outings. The match is scheduled for Saturday, 16 October.
