AmaZulu FC president Sandile Zungu has confirmed the club will not sell any of its key players during the upcoming January transfer window. The announcement aims to protect a squad that has propelled the team to third place in the Premier Soccer League with 16 points from seven games.
Zungu gave the firm assurance this week, directly addressing supporter concerns as the mid-season window approaches. "I can confidently assure you that none of the starting players or regulars in the team will be leaving during this season," he said. He added a simple, definitive "Not this season" when pressed on the matter.
His statement comes as several standout performers have attracted attention. Zimbabwean striker Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya has been the most outstanding, topping the club's scoring charts with eight goals in seven appearances. Players like Mlondi Mbanjwana, Nkosikhona Radebe and Athini Maqokolo have also impressed under head coach Arthur Zwane, whose side is on a three-game winning streak.
With the team just four points off the league summit, the club's leadership is focused on maintaining momentum rather than cashing in. AmaZulu now prepare for their next challenge, an away trip to face Durban City on 16 October, as they look to close the gap at the top. Check the full schedule on our fixtures page.
